WHAT'S UP WITH THE MONEY?

The energy was high in the church as the people of God were worshiping Him.  You could see the tears on the faces of both men and women (yes I said men).  Yeshua (Jesus) showed up and brought the Spirit of Deliverance with Him.  The captives were being set free as only He alone can and will do.
Yeshua Jesus is our only Deliverer.  I have witnessed this in my life as well as the lives  of family members and friends.

While giving closing remarks the preacher said, "I sense some of you are needing strategies for your ministry.   Some of you do not know what to do with your ministry."

Hold on for what was said next.  The preacher said, "If you will put in a seed of $400.00, God will give you the strategy that you need."  The people (a few) came to the altar and gave $400.00 for God to give them a strategy for their ministry.

Did I miss it?  Please let me know if I did.  Since when does God need $400.00 to give you a strategy for a ministry that He gave to you?

I am sick and tired of these strategies being used against the people of God.  We need to study the Word of God for ourselves and see if these strategies of "sowing a seed for your need" is really from the Father.

Most people are taking 3John 2 "Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers."  (NAB)

I like the Messianic Edition of the Living Bible Interpretation of 3John 2  "Dear friend, I am praying that all is well with you and that your body is as healthy as I know your soul is."

Yes.  The Bible speaks of "planting a seed."  Do I have to give money to the church just because I have a need.

According to 2Kings 4:1-7, Elisha increased the woman's oil when she was down to her last.  He did not tell her to plant a seed for her need.  Yeshua (Jesus) did not tell anyone to plant a seed before He prayed for them. What about Paul?  Please tell me the scripture where he told the church in Corinth to plant a seed for a need?

What about our ancestors?  Did Harriet Tubman have to plant a seed in order to free the slaves in the Underground Railroad?

What about Sojourner Truth?  She had an "outstanding" ministry for women?

What about Smith Wigglesworth (a true man of God of long ago)?  He used to raise people from the dead.  Did he tell the people to plant a seed before he prayed for their loved ones?

I can remember my great-grandmother sitting on the porch praying because she had a need.  She along with the people that she knew would go to church and kneel at the altar to pray until they sensed God's presence that their need was being met.

I have had "supernatural encounters" of God supplying my needs.  Once I had to minister in a church in California.  The church purchased my airline ticket but I did not have any extra money to take to California with me.  I refused to fly from Ohio to California without any money.  The plane was going to leave in 45 minutes before I decided to trust God to supply my need.  As I was at the airport, saying good-bye to my friends that took me to the airport, I reached into my coat pocket and pulled out a twenty dollar ($20.00) bill.  I gave Adonai (the Lord) thanks for finding $20.00 which was much needed.

I reached into my coat pocket again and another $20.00 bill came out.  After reaching into my coat pocket several times, I had pulled out three hundred dollars($300.00).  No.  I had not forgotten that I left this money in my coat pocket. I have needs.  I cannot afford to have $300.00 laying around. I certainly would have remembered if I put $300.00 in my coat pocket.  God supplied my need without "sowing a seed" "supernaturally."

Approximately three years ago, I reminded God of what He had done for me by supernaturally supplying money when I desperately needed it.  Once again, I was in financial need.  I went to the grocery store and purchased groceries with the minimum amount of money that I had. While bringing my groceries into the house, I noticed a "folded" twenty dollar bill ($20.00) on my lawn.  When I looked to my right, there was a five dollar ($5.00) bill on my lawn.

I walked into my house praising God for what He had done for me.  The Holy Spirit said, "Go back outside there is more money."  I said, "Lord, there is no more money out there?"  Nevertheless, I went back outside and there was a ten dollar bill ($10.00).  This stunned me.  I  called my spiritual mother and my birth mother and told them what happened.  Both agreed that this was an "act of God."  He is good all of the time.  He is no respecter of person.  He will be good to you as well.

2Corinthians 4:2 ...."We do not try to trick anyone."

2Corinthians 9:5 says. "I want it to be a willing gift, not one given under pressure.

2Corinthians 9:7  "You must each make up your own mind as to how much you should give.  Don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure.  For God loves the person who gives cheerfully."  Use your discernment when asked to sow a seed.  Ask the Holy Spirit to give you revelation as to whether this is from Him or not when asked to sow a seed.
